How is the estimate calculated?

This tool changes neither EvilPlays rankings nor Valve records. Without informationContent and the official match replay dataset, it does not produce Valve’s official updated points.

1. Source and roster identity

Points come from the latest global standings snapshot in ValveSoftware/counter-strike_regional_standings. Different five-player rosters under the same organization remain separate.

2. Local fixed-RD Glicko estimate

The EvilPlays scenario uses Q = ln(10) / 400 and an assumed RD of 75. It is not an official update because Valve’s informationContent input is unavailable.

3. Win/Lose point delta

Each team is calculated separately with result score 1 for a win and 0 for a loss. A favorite gains less for winning and loses more for losing; the underdog behaves inversely.

4. Rounding and scope

The decimal point delta is rounded to the nearest integer. The calculation represents one completed series; BO length and map-round difference are not additional multipliers.

Calculation steps

  • The opponent RD is fixed at 75.
  • Expected score comes from both rosters’ current VRS points.
  • s=1 is applied to the winner and s=0 to the loser.
  • Both deltas are calculated independently and rounded to integers.

Formula

Q = ln(10) / 400
g = 1 / √(1 + 3Q²RD² / π²)
E = 1 / (1 + 10^(g(r-rₒ)/-400))
d² = 1 / (1/RD² + Q²g²E(1-E))
Δr = Q · d² · g · (s-E)
This result is not a match prediction or betting advice. A new official snapshot, roster change, or Valve model update can change these values.
